About Tonda Elementary
Founded in 1993, Tonda Elementary was named in honor of Flossie B. Tonda, a respected Michigan educator. Our school opened with 535 students and has remained dedicated to providing a supportive, enriching, and academically challenging environment for all learners.

At Tonda Elementary, we partner with families and the community to provide differentiated instruction that supports the whole child. Through strong relationships and research-based practices, we empower students to take risks, embrace challenges, and achieve their full potential.

Regular School Day: 8:55 AM – 4:01 PM
Half-Day Schedule: 8:55 AM – 12:10 PM
Morning Arrival Procedures

8:40 AM – Students may arrive on school grounds.

8:50 AM – First bell rings; students may enter the building.
- 8:55 AM – Second bell rings; students should be in class and ready for the day.
Tardy Policy: Students arriving after 8:55 AM will be marked tardy. Late arrivals must be accompanied to the office door and signed in by an adult.
