Tonda PTO is excited to announce the 2025 Fun Run FUNdraiser! Our goal is to raise $25,000 . Here’s all you need to know about the fundraiser and event.

What is a Fun Run Fundraiser?

Students collect pledges in advance of the Fun Run event using the GetMovin’ platform. On Friday, October 18th, students will run or walk the Fun Run course. They will navigate obstacles and fun run stations. The goal of the fun run is to bring together our Tonda community (parents are invited to volunteer and/or watch!) and have FUN.

Basic Information:

• This is our school’s MAIN FUNDRAISER. It was decided years ago not to have students engage in fundraising like candy or magazine sales so, as a result, you will not be asked to participate in sales events like that.
• Pledging All pledges will be simple flat pledges on the GetMovin’ platform or in person via cash or check.
• Families are encouraged to pledge at least $50 per student.

What does PTO do with the funds raised?

PTO relies 100% on donations and uses these funds to directly support students and staff: Annually, PTO provides Educational Grants to every teacher (including specials) to offset classroom costs along with classroom subscriptions. In addition, PTO funds student activities such as Trekkers, Tonda Baseball, Student Government, Popcorn Fridays, Field Day and more.

There are some simple ways to give back to Tonda year round. Below is a list of ways to contribute and directions on how to enroll in each program. Trust us it adds up quickly!! Tonda PTO

PayPal -- You can donate or make payments for Tonda activities throughout the year at any time. Please designate your student’s name and teacher, be sure to indicate what the payment is for (i.e. Giving Campaign, USA Hockey Night, Fun Fair & Ice Cream Social).
Paypal charges a small convenience fee - use the fee calculator: to make sure you are sending the correct amount. (Example: If you want send in $25.00 you should send $26.41 PayPal takes $1.41)

Kroger

Create an account or log into your current one. Scroll to the bottom to community rewards and search for Tonda Elementary PTO. 

Buschs

Create an account using your MyWay number or log in at the top right corner. Select the tab “Community”, then “Cash for Education”. Select “Tonda Elementary School” from the list, then add your student’s name (optional). Allocation of funds is done quarterly, unless you check the button “add to future quarters”. You will need to revisit your Busch's account to reassign Tonda as your donation recipient yearly. 

Amazon Smiles -- UPDATE: As of February 2022, Amazon has discounted the Smiles program. The donations earned in 2022 through the program have been deposited into Tonda’s account. You can continue to support Tonda by buying items specifically off teachers’ wish lists (see the Tonda PTO Facebook page for the wishlist links.)

Dick Scott Auto in Plymouth

When you are ready for a new or used car, truck, SUV, motorcycle or ATV, go to the Dick Scott Dealership of your choice and present your Donation Voucher. When you take delivery of your vehicle (purchase or lease), Tonda receives a $100 check.

Box Tops - NO MATTER WHERE YOU SHOP, YOU CAN EARN WITH BOX TOPS.

IN-STORE

If you receive a paper receipt, a quick scan with the Box Tops app will identify participating products and automatically credit your school's earnings online.

ONLINE

Whether you've ordered groceries for delivery or pickup, shopped through your store's app, or requested an email receipt at checkout, you can earn Box Tops with digital receipts too.
